...a switched-on 7-year old with a mad passion for nature, a talent for illustration and a bold mission in life: to publish ‘Flora’s Ultimate Guide to Every Living Thing.’ She also plans to walk a tightrope over the Grand Canyon, sail the seas with Greta Thunberg, and build the world’s first flying trampoline. But hey, one thing at a time, right?
Rowan, a chihuahua sized fox, is Flora’s oldest friend, dedicated to Flora. He loves to offer up his long, luscious tail to Flora to rest her head on as the two stargaze after a day of exploring. Rowan is quite fastidious (he HATES getting his tail muddy), and overly cautious (health & safety anyone?), but Flora always pushes him out of his comfort zone. And Rowan secretly LOVES it.
Each episode begins with a natural mystery or intrigue to investigate and explore, inspiring our young viewers to become Citizen Scientists. We want every kid who watches Flora itching to dive into their backyards their with fingernails caked in mud and their minds full of questions: Why do slugs love sliming things so much? How many leaves can I fit up my jumper? What does a tree eat? Of course in a place as fascinating as Fairfeather Forest, and with Flora’s madcap menagerie of mates, the answers are not always so straightforward...
Barley-Crumb is a generous and industrious domestic badger, passionate homemaker and prolific gardener – like a woodland Martha Stewart. He loves to experiment with new recipes sourced from his garden, make little gifts for his friends, and is a whizz at DIY. The gang can always turn to BC for a homemade treat – or a homemade remedy to most problems.

Imagine a big huggable bear made of stars, who is looking over you at all times - that's Bodhi. And this magical bear can also float gently down to earth to join in adventures or take the friends for a soothing ride up to the stars. A lot of the time Bodhi lives in the sky as a glittering translucent shape looking over the friends on their adventures. It is only when they need some emotional help that he comes down to earth to join in (as when a parent would step in) and give them one of his big bear hugs!
Lockhart is a joyful, overenthusiastic deer with four left hooves. As clumsy as she is calamitous - she bowls into things and when the dust settles often exclaims: ‘Oh deer…’ Flora and Lockhart share boundless energy and a love for goofiness, which gets them into deep laughing fits and sometimes into deep doo-doo.
